Understand the Deck of Cards.- A deck of cards has total 52 cards.
- These 52 cards have 4 categories.
- 4 categories are Diamonds , Spades , Clubs , Hearts.
- Each Category further has 13 cards.
- In each category , among these 13 cards we have 4 face cards and 9 number cards ranging from 2 to 10.
- 4 face cards are : Ace , King , Queen , Jack.
- In this way we have total 16 face cards in a deck of 52.
Probabilty and Types of operations on Probaility
- Simply , Probabilty is just the way you can express numerically that how much is the chance of a specific event to occur or not under some specific circumstances.
- Numerically , Probabilty(P) of an event(E) say : 'P(E)' lies in interval 0<=P(E)<=1.
- There are two types of operations on Probabilty:
- Addition of Probabilities.
- Multiplication of Probabilities.(For Independent Events)
- Addition of Probability has a general formula for two events A and B as :
- P(AUB) = P(A) + P(B). (When A and B are totally Independent or Disjoint)
- P(AUB) = P(A) + P(B) - P(A^B) (When A and B are Dependent or Over-Lapping)
- Multiplication of Probability has a general formula for two independents events A and B as :
- P(A^B) = P(A)xP(B)
